Jesus told us the wineskins will change, it’s the wine that is more important. Forms need to adapt to culture, otherwise we are no longer communicating to people. Saying the same thing the same way year after year is a good way to ensure that the message no longer makes sense.
I missed this in 2009, but a Global TV documentary looks at the changing face of the living church in Canada. Pretty interesting as an “objective” secular media report. The first link is to a Global interview talking about the documentary (10 mins). The second link is to the whole documentary.

Dave and Margaret Penner are from Winkler Manitoba, and are working with Mennonite Central Committee in Durango Mexico. Their work among Low German speaking people touches many lives, and they are making a difference in a struggling community.
