Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) has created resources for congregations to assist with recognizing Peace Sunday. In 2013, congregations are encouraged to set aside either November 3 or November 10 as a Sunday to reflect on peace.

In the ‘peacepacket 13‘, on page 24 you will find a story of “A Low German Pastor preaches against fear”. This story features Hein Thiessen, who is familiar to many within the EMMC / Go Mission! family. Read his story of courage and reconciliation.

These resources will assist with developing the theme and create the outline of the service. Share these resources with those who are leaders in various aspects of the congregation that they too can plan their instruction and worship time surrounding the theme of “peace”.
