One of my great joys over the Christmas holidays came through an email from Bill & Martha Kehler, our missionaries in San Jose, Bolivia. Arlene and I were there last January when some of this ministry was just beginning to take root. To hear that 80 people had gathered on Dec. 23 to hear the Christmas story is unbelievable. God is powerfully at work. Besides sharing the glad tidings that the birth of Christ brings they also handed out 57 Christmas bags to the children. This ministry comes with risk and opposition, please keep the Kehlers and these brave young families in your prayers.
We continue to see progress on the buildings at the Ministry Center as well. Here is the latest photo of the place where we pray much spiritual care will be taking place very soon.
This is the last Praise, Prayer and Pondering for 2012! As we journey forward, leaving the past behind, we can see where God has worked in specific situations. Stepping into the New Year with confidence, we KNOW that God is preparing the way for each of us. The path may be unclear and there will be many surprises as we follow each turn. We have the assurance that Immanuel – “God with us” – will never abandon us.

Praise and Prayer,
As we look to the future, there is a sense of expectation, joy, excitement and perhaps a bit of apprehension. Stepping into the New Year, we can do so with boldness, knowing that our God holds us and our future in His strong and loving hands.
This January 2013 Prayer Guide invites you to pray for the leaders of our family of churches, and for the churches themselves.
