Many of you are aware that our *Tri-conference team has accepted a new challenge, that of providing new leadership to the work of Continental Missions which is based in Thompson, Manitoba. We have accepted the challenge of shaping the future of this work with the indigenous people of the north. It is my privilege to serve on the interim board.
The board has been tasked to discern where and how God wants us to be involved in the work that He is doing up there. In human terms it is a huge task. In God’s eyes it is so much like our daily walk with Him, simply discerning His will and following what He makes known to us. Please pray for the board as we journey through these next 18 months, that we will see this in God’s eyes…
Just some background on our connection with the north. For the past 10 years or so my family has been involved with the Midway Bible Camp which is located near Thompson. My daughters have spent their summers at the camp through their high school and college years. Midway is one of the ministries of Continental Mission. As a family we enjoy the interaction with the people of the north, and look forward to shaping this ministry.
