Pastor Henry Redekopp from Gospel Fellowship Church in Shipyard Belize:
I want to thank you all for your prayers as we geared up for the Music Night held in Shipyard October 23. The event was well attended, an estimated 250 people of which approximately 70 were people from the colony. Diedrich Harms, EMMC Evangelist / Leadership Trainer shared the Gospel powerfully and people were challenged to make a decision for Christ. The weather was great, little or no wind and cool temperatures. Thanks again for praying.
Please pray with us …
Right now (October 24) we are preparing for Hurricane Richard. At 1:00 p.m. our time the report showed that Richard was 55 miles east of Belize City with sustainable wind of 85 mph, and traveling at 13 mph. That means that unless it changes its course, it will hit land near Belize City early this evening. We here in Shipyard are more in land and hope that the winds will have reduced by the time it hits us, but it looks like we will likely see hurricane strength wind inland as well. So again, we invite you to pray with and for us, and especially for those living by the coast. Many of the homes in Belize City are not built very well, which means that some may be homeless after the storm.
