Jacob & Arlene Friesen, Go Mission! Executive Director are excited and thankful for the opportunity to minister at MOMENTUM 2010 held at Tabor EMC in Alberta, October 8 to 10! Jacob will be speaking on the theme “Honorable” from John 12:26 and will explore how we as Christians are called to honor and be honorable in our relationships to God and those around us. MOMENTUM 2010 is a place where youth, young adults and parents can come together and connect with peers, significant adults and obviously Jesus Christ. It is Jesus Christ, through the work of the Holy Spirit that ultimately makes us “one”.

Thanks for your prayers folks. We are off to a good start. One session last night. Today it’s been breakfast with parents, fellowship lunch with the youth today and now it’s prep work for the remaining sermons – one tonight and three tomorrow. The highlight was doing dishes with Pastor Dave Wiebe and a group of ladies – reviewing the lessons about parenting, etc.
It’s a true joy to see how God is at work in the church at Taber. Great leadership. It’s also been a true joy to reconnect with people from places like Belize or Aylmer. Ricky Nuefeld was like 11 when they left Aylmer and is now one mean guitar player in the worship band. The other surprise was Jessie – Nettie Hiede’s sister from Belize. Well, I best get back to sermon prep. Thanks again for your partnership in the preaching ministry.
